The Elmira Rotary Club recently announced this year's winner of the Four Way Test award is John Humphrey. He was selected from the 60+ members as being a top example of live the Rotary Four Way Test, a measure of ethica, service-to-others conduct.

Humphrey has volunteered at the greeters table by running the weekly fund-raising activities since the early 1990's. He worked 35 years for Dun & Bradstreet as a credit analyst, retiring in 1987. John also participates in the Rotary Camp Star activities including the annual golf tournament held each year the the Bath Country Club.

The Four Way Test represents the epitome of Rotarian ethical conduct. It asks:.

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

The Elmira Rotary Club was founded 97 years ago in 1916. The club meets Tuesdays at noon at the Holiday Inn Elmira - Riverview. The club is always seeking to grow with new members interested  in giving "Service Above Self" in the local, national, and international Rotary community.
